Production Process
Design Communication
After the customer provides 3D drawings, our salesmen will use their rich experience to provide customers with improvement suggestions and strive to make the final product more in line with customer needs. If the customer is unable to provide 3D drawings, we also offer the option of receiving samples. We will copy and scan the samples to create 3D drawings. This is the first important step in the vacuum forming process. Whether customers provide 3D drawings or samples, we are committed to providing customers with personalized services and strive to ensure the quality and perfect match of the final product.

Plastic Sheets
We have two self-owned plate machines, using raw material particles imported from Sinopec or Chimei, which is the guarantee of our quality. The principle of sheet extrusion is to melt the particles through heating and extrusion. We can produce sheets with thicknesses from 0.1-12mm and maximum widths of 2 meters.
Boards commonly used for blister include ABS, ASA, HIPS (PS), HDPE (PE), PP, PMMA, PC, PETG, etc. We offer single-layer panels and composite panels (such as ASA+ABS or ABS+PMMA) to meet different cost, quality and delivery requirements.
In addition, customers can also customize different colors, including all colors on the Pantone color card. At the same time, we can customize the properties of the panels as needed, such as UV protection, fire protection, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and high impact resistance, etc. These raw materials can meet customers’ various needs for color and performance, and can also choose from different textures of plastic surfaces (single or double-sided). We offer a variety of surface texturing options such as matte and electronic texture, and we can also custom texture rollers to your requirements if none are readily available. The panels can even have skin texture attached.
This is the second key step in the vacuum forming process and one of the two necessary raw materials for blister molding. We provide customers with a diverse selection of panels and strive to ensure product quality and reliability through advanced production processes.

Tooling/Mold
In vacuum forming, we use aluminum molds because they are durable, have superior thermal conductivity, and are capable of producing high-quality parts. After receiving the customer’s product design drawings, our mold engineers will first confirm the required materials. Then, based on the shrinkage rate of the material and the customer’s design drawing, the mold engineer will design the corresponding 3D mold drawing.
During this process, we will fully consider the surface effect, actual assembly and use environment of the product. For example, for transparent products or products with high surface effect requirements, we usually use block aluminum molds; for solid-color products and products with textured surfaces, we choose cast aluminum molds; and for complex part geometries, we use slider aluminum molds mold. In addition, we also offer textured acid etched molds, also known as textured molds or patterned molds, that comply with all international standard texture codes to ensure that the mold design matches customer needs as much as possible.
Our company has advanced mold CNC equipment, which can effectively control quality, time and cost, and strives to provide customers with efficient and reliable mold manufacturing services. After the mold is CNC machined, it is polished and vacuum drilled. During the plastic forming stage, these molds are seamlessly integrated into our vacuum forming machines. As the plastic sheet melts, the mold rises to achieve complete bonding and any trapped air is removed with the help of a vacuum pump, ensuring the final product is as flawless as possible. After cooling, the product is demoulded.
We mainly use 6061 aluminum to make aluminum molds. We also offer mold warranty services based on your specific requirements. We also offer replacements if molds are worn, damaged or deformed.

Vacuum forming Process
In the vacuum forming step, our production staff have more than 30 years of professional experience and have rich professional knowledge and unique insights into processing various types and thicknesses of sheets. Our company is equipped with 17 large-scale professional vacuum forming machines, which can turn your ideas and designs into real products according to design requirements.
Before vacuum forming, we will use a mold temperature gun to check the temperature of the mold to ensure that the temperature of the mold can allow the product to be formed better. At the same time, we will adjust the most suitable temperature for vacuum forming of the product based on our rich experience and the characteristics of the sheet material to ensure the smooth progress of the forming process.
In order to ensure the accuracy of size and thickness, we usually perform multiple machine adjustments and proofing. Before vacuum forming, an air gun is used to blow off the dust attached to the surface of the board. After the vacuum forming is completed, we will use an ultrasonic thickness gauge to detect the thickness of each position of the product to ensure that it meets the design requirements. Based on the inspection results, if defects or dimensional inconsistencies are found, we will appropriately adjust the vacuum forming parameters to further optimize the quality and performance of the product.
During the molding process, we will blow bubbles to ensure uniform stretching, and upper molds will also be used for some special structures. For designs with undercut structures, we provide two solutions: one is to modify the mold (cylinder molds are expensive), and the other is to use a cylinder mold. When needed, the protruding part of the cylinder mold will pop up and shrink after the molding is cooled, thus achieving Product structure requirements.

CNC Cutting
After the extrusion, shaping and vacuum forming process of the plastic sheet, CNC cutting is next. After molding, our CNC engineers will convert the 3D files into CNC-specific files, program the data, and then remove excess material from the outside. The shape, drilling and chamfering of the product are all completed in this step.
In the CNC cutting step, our company has thirteen three-axis CNC and fifteen five-axis CNC equipment. Three-axis CNC is mainly used to process flat or simple curved workpieces and has stable processing characteristics; while five-axis CNC is equipped with a 360° high-speed robotic arm, which can quickly and accurately cut formed products to meet various production needs. We use vacuum pumps or magnets to fix the product on a fixture with the same shape as the product for CNC cutting to ensure the accuracy and stability of cutting. Normally, our CNC engineers will input the program and the machine will automatically operate to cut out the shape of the product.
In order to maintain the accuracy of cutting products, taking a five-axis machine as an example, we usually make a fiberglass or wooden mold whose surface shape fits the shape of the product. At the same time, vacuum drilling is performed on the surface of the mold and magnets are embedded. During the cutting process, the vacuum pump will extract the air between the mold and the product through the air holes above the mold, and the magnet will fit on the surface of the product. The product will be firmly fixed on the mold through the suction of the magnet and the vacuum pump, thus helping to ensure the cut result. Product dimensions are relatively accurate.
We also provide acrylic/PMMA laser cutting machine services. Compared with CNC cutting machines, the advantages of laser cutting machines are that there are no burrs in the cutting area, and the cutting speed is fast and accurate. However, laser cutting is mainly used for processing flat materials.

Post-Processing In Vacuum Forming Process
Our post-processing includes steps such as deburring, bonding, painting, grinding, silk screen printing and laser engraving. Deburring, also commonly known as edge scraping, is an important post-processing step after CNC cutting, especially in the thick-gauge vacuum forming industry. The process involves removing burrs, which are small, uneven ridges that form on the edge of a workpiece during the cutting operation. Proper deburring not only improves the appearance of a part, but also improves its functional properties such as fit, performance and safety.
During the assembly process, we mainly use ABS special glue, welding guns and locking screws for bonding. The assembly process includes: 1. Alignment: Accurately align the parts to be assembled. For large or complex assemblies, jigs or fixtures may be required. 2. Connection: Apply the chosen connection method, whether gluing, welding or mechanical fastening. 3. Curing or cooling: Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to solidify or the welded joint to cool to avoid possible weakening of the bond caused by premature processing. 4. Quality Inspection: The assembled product is inspected to ensure it meets all specifications.
Next comes sanding, which is an important step aimed at: 1. Surface smoothing: eliminate any bumps, ridges or imperfections created during the molding or assembly process. 2. Enhance adhesion: Form a textured surface to improve the adhesion of paint or other coatings. 3. Aesthetic improvements: Ensuring a uniform appearance of all assembled components is especially important for consumer-facing products.
Our sanding equipment and abrasives include: 1. Hand sanding tools such as sandpaper blocks or sandpaper sheets, especially suitable for fine work or delicate areas. 2. Orbital Sander: Uses circular or orbital motion to evenly sand larger areas. 3. Belt Sander: Effectively removes material quickly and smooths larger surface areas. 4. Sandpaper grit grades, from coarse (low grit) to very fine (high grit), are selected based on the material and desired smoothness.
After sanding is complete, make sure the surface is flat enough and then paint. We offer a variety of paints, the most commonly used of which is PU paint, which is mainly used in automotive products, is not easy to fade, and has certain UV resistance. Additionally, we have other paint types such as skin-like paint, matte paint, anti-reflective paint, impact-resistant paint, etc. After the painting is completed, we will conduct strict quality inspections to ensure that each product meets the standards. After passing the quality inspection, the products will be packaged and shipped.

During the packaging and delivery stage, we provide a variety of packaging methods for customers to choose from, such as single packaging or multiple packaging, wooden box packaging or carton packaging, etc. We will arrange the most suitable packaging method for our customers based on their needs. At the same time, we can also arrange freight according to customer requirements and provide one-stop service.
